Networks—approached personably and scientifically—foster the most rapid exchange and cross-pollination of new ideas. Convenings accelerate networks. So I hope I can help (collaboratively, artistically) accelerate your impact as your next (Managing) Director of Special Projects and Partnerships.

The status quo in Knowledge Management Systems includes heavy costs of documentations, and heavy risks for speaking openly and transparently. Your Connected Leaders Program changes that through its trusted interdisciplinary groups and strategic convenings. I would love to combine my background in Network Science and crisis zone media / tech with more radically dynamic in-person networks and convenings.

Why Rockefeller Foundation?

You're from the South and you studied terrorism and city planning.

Why this job in New York?

  • I have been watching you all since 100 Resilient Cities, which gave me the vocabulary and impetus to study network science and city planning. I love helping cities and changemakers learn from eachother, and was curious about how to model system dynamics through physics.

  • My years in multinational high tech partnerships and events showed me how to build networks and events across the world, and I am grateful for that private sector experience. I am more interested in broader definitions of responsibility beyond “fiduciary responsibility to shareholders.”

I now turn to multinational non-governmental organizations as the fastest way for innovation to travel and emerge across domains and geographies. The Rockefeller, Gates, and MacArthur foundations stand out as the top US-based NGO’s in the spaces I aim to serve.

  • In academia I studied geopolitical security for cities, physical security for women's mobility, and data fragmentation for disaster simulations and transportation investment decision-making on three continents. These projects were themselves the products of external global partnerships, and suffered from their own data fragmentation!

After college, I supported emerging technology scale for the Tokyo 2020 games. We focused on IoT for covid and venue management, and the fallout of an autonomous bus accident.

Now I want to help the Rockefeller Foundation bring it all together, for your big convening events and your big everyday realities.

I bring expertise in programmatic and bespoke partnerships, and an unparalleled enthusiasm for bringing people together in spaces of challenge and opportunity.

  • People and networks shape our concrete and imagined worlds, and the Connected Leaders Program pulls it all together. You all have the scale and strength to change how the world leaders help us re-direct towards greater opportunity and well-being. By quietly lifting, accelerating, and connecting the greatest hchangemakers, we can serve as a humble but powerful platform for grassroots work to flourish and inform global efforts.

  • I look forward to exploring possible collaborations with you all, and to representing your work in the appropriate tone and vocabulary for each stakeholder across diverse industries and geographies.

I come to life in person, so I hope we can talk in real time.
